Kapalbhati Pranayama (cleansing Breathing Exercise) And Shining Face
Kapal in the FACE Sanskrit of means, and Bhati in SHINING Sanskrit of means. Kapalbhati of practice on the regular basis leads to the face shining with the interior radiation. Kapalbhati strongly activates the exercise of abdominal breathing.
What we do in Kapalbhati Pranayama
In Kapalabhati we make fast exhalation and the normal inhalation. Normally exhalation takes a quarter of the period of the inhalation. Fast exhalation and the normal inhalation are followed.
How to make Kapalbhati Pranayama
Stage 1) rest in comfortable cross position of leg with back right. Hands resting on knees in the chin or will mudra it of gyana. Face to be slackened.
Stage 2) inhale deeply by the nostril, abdomen expanding and exhale with the powerful contraction of the abdominal muscles. (Draw the abdomen inside by contracting the abdominal muscles quickly and exhale by the nose). The air is eliminated from the lungs by contraction from the diaphragm.
Stage 3) after of exhalation the inhalation still but the inhalation should not imply any effort. To inhale just slacken and the lungs will increase automatically and filled of the air.One can start with breathing 15. After execution of exhalation 15 rapid and normal inhalation, inhale and exhale deeply. It is a round. One can begin the practice of the pranayama of Kapalbhati with 3 such rounds for the practice.
Advantages of Kapalabhati
1) Kapalabhati cleans the lungs and the whole respiratory system.
2) Blood is purified and the body obtains a greater supply oxygen with all the cells.
3) Digestion is improved.
4) Abdominal muscles are reinforced.
5) Prepare the spirit for the meditation.
6) Activate the spirit for mental work.
Precautions:Kapalbhati should not be practical by thosea) Suffering of the cardiac diseaseb) Hypertensionc) Herniad) Should never not be practised when a asthmatic attack is moving.e) If the pain or the giddiness is tested, it is preferable to stop the practice until the feeling passed. Practised can be restarted with less force.f) Fast exhalation should be comfortable with. C. - with-D. quickly exhalation should not be too powerful.
Common error:1) The abdomen is contracted while inhaling.2) Shoulders are contracted to push the air outside while exhaling.3) The back and the shoulders move during the exercise.
Not with the note:a) The exercise should not be made if you feel uncomfortable constantly during the exercise. b) The fast breathing used in this technique should be abdomen and not trunk. c) Kapalbhati should be practical on a stomach only empties. d) Kapalbhati should be practised after the asanas and relieving (atleast 10 minutes) and before meditation e) The trunk should not move much.
(F) It always good and is strongly recommended that this exercise should be informed under the monitoring of the professor of yoga after discussion with him about your health.
